MAP® (The Medical Advocate Program®)
The Medical Advocate Program® (MAP®) is the driving force identifying the necessary tools to reduce and manage healthcare costs for employers, while assisting the employees with navigating through the constantly changing healthcare system. Education and empowerment are key to making the necessary changes that save money and improve the healthcare delivery experience.
MAP® is designed to make significant changes in the way healthcare is purchased. While the MAP® reduces employers' healthcare costs, it also provides employees with the confidence that they have obtained the highest quality medical care for themselves and family members. The programs key to success, is helping employees become more educated consumers of healthcare and how the healthcare system works, which ultimately changes their behavior and approach to purchasing healthcare.
How Does the MAP® Work?
The MAP® Nurse Advocate, a Registered Nurse, follows the patient throughout the entire episode of care, helping to organize and outline the appropriate steps to receive the most effective treatment. To accomplish this, MAP® offers one-on-one assistance, identifying information on the highest quality physicians, effective treatment options, locating the most cost-effective facilities, and providing answers to medical questions, benefits, provider balance billing, etc.
